Dechert LLP is a Philadelphia based law firm. As of 2006, Dechert has offices in the following United States cities: Austin, Boston, Charlotte, Harrisburg, Hartford, Newport Beach, New York City, Palo Alto, Philadelphia, Princeton, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. In addition, Dechert maintains offices in the following European cities: Brussels, London, Luxembourg, Munich, Frankfurt, and Paris.

Dechert has a practice group that specializes in product liability litigation. They have represented Philip Morris in class action suits, and are currently representing Merck & Co. in suits regarding the drug Vioxx.

Former Bush White House staffer Scooter Libby managed the D.C. office of Dechert prior to accepting the position of Chief of Staff for Vice President Dick Cheney. After being implicated in the Valerie Plame spy scandal, Libby retained Joseph Tate, a Dechert partner, as his attorney.
