'Debra Mailman is the first Australian actress of Aboriginal descent to win AFI's Best Actress Award for her portrayal of Nona in the film Radiance. She also won the Film Critics Circle of Australia Award for Best Performance for the same role. She was born in 1973 in Mount Isa, Queensland and is the youngest of five children. She has appeared in the TV series Two Twisted, the film The Book of Revelation and the TV series The Secret Life of Us. Her work in The Secret Life of Us earned her a Silver Logie in 2004 and a Logie Award in 2002.
