Dean Bowditch (born 15 June 1985 in Hertfordshire) is an English professional footballer.
A trainee at the Academy at Ipswich Town, he made it into the first team in 2003, and made the headlines when he scored a hat-trick against Watford in front of the Sky cameras.
He went out on loan to Burnley for two months toward the end of the 2005 season, where he managed a single goal in eight matches.
In the 2005/2006 season, he went on loan to Wycombe Wanderers, where again he managed just a solitary goal.
In August 2006 he scored his first goal for 22 months in Ipswich Town's win over QPR.
At the beginning of November 2006, he joined Brighton on loan, and has had his loan spell extended at the Withdean until January 2007 where Brighton have the option to possibly extend the deal or pay a transfer fee to buy the player. Since being at the Withdean, Bowditch has picked up a groin injury which has limited his first-team experience with the Seagulls.
