Dead Borland Society
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dead Borland Society is made up of former Borland employees that went to work for Microsoft during the nineties. Supposedly the group consists of around 30 individuals. Microsoft was sued by Borland over no-compete agreement breaches. The case was settled in Borland's favour, however some of these employees were major developers for Borland.
The most prominent member is Anders Hejlsberg.
Some people draw parallels to the mass reshuffles and firings after the Borland-Ashton-Tate mergers in 1994, and call all former Borland personnel that still work in IT the "Borland Old Boys" network.
