Dayanand Science College is one of the institute of Dayanand Education Society established in year 1961. The society was established with a noble cause to impart higher education in arts, commerce & science to the students of Latur area.

At beginning this was multifaculty college (arts, commerce, science).As the strength of students increased and to have better & smooth administration so was expanded in 1967.

At first it was affiliated with Babasaheb Marathwada University, Aurangabad. It is now affiliated with Shree Ramanand Tirtha Marathwada University, Nanded.The college has a separate Junior college. In year 1989 college has started M.C.V.C. course. It is one of the finest colleges in Maharashtra, which provides a gateway to best universities all over India. It is a unique educational experience designed to produce confident, articulate, socially skilled students equipped for the challenges of the 21st century.

The students of this college are consistently performing well in 12th exams as well as medical/engineering entance exams for the decades.

Many peoples think that this college is only marks oriented and not the talent oriented. but to get admission to good professional institutes rather than talent, marks matters which we get here in this institute.

The passout students of this college are spread across the country and working in different fields.
