Dawood College of Engineering and Technology is located in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Dawood College of Engineering and Technology is affiliated with Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro. Dawood college offers degree program in affiliation with Mehran University in Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering and Architecture.

Dawood College of Engineering was affiliated with NED University of Engineering and Technology but due to political strife and student unrest fell into steep decline and lost the affiliation. After the loss of NED affiliation, it has gained affiliation with Mehran UET.
[edit] Tragedy
One most unfortunate incident linked with DCET and adding to its notoriety was the recent assassination of its Dean/Principal Dr Saleem Chaudhry on March 26, 2005. Suspicion immediately fell on the criminal elements within the student community. The culprits have yet to be apprehended.
[edit] Current Status
Its graduates are retroactively granted accreditation. This, however, does not apply to current students. Improvements in infrastructure and administration point to a brighter future, however, with some College administrators raising hopes of casting the College as a University in the near future.
