Dawn Addams
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dawn Addams (21 September 1930- 7 May 1985) was a glamorous leading lady in motion pictures.
She was born Victoria Dawn Addams in Felixstowe, England, the daughter of Captain James Ramage Addams. Her mother died when she was young, and she spent her early life in Calcutta, India.
Her film career began in 1951. In 1952 Dawn starred with Peter Lawford in The Hour of 13 (possibly also known as T for Terror). She embarked on a USO tour in 1953 to entertain troops in Korea. Perhaps her most notable performance was as the female lead opposite actor-director-filmmaker Charles Chaplin in his final comedy to star himself A King in New York (1957). During the 1960s and 1970s she appeared mainly in British TV shows and Italian movies.
She died in 1985, aged 54, from cancer.
