Dawasir

The Al Dawasir are an Arabic bedouin tribe divided into clans and families, the word Dawasir is plural for Dowsery (which is also spelled Dosary, Dossary, Dowsary, Doseri, Dosari, Dosseri, Dossery, etc.) in surnames the prefix "Al" means "being part of" or "belonging to".
The tribe gave its name to the famous Wadi in Najd, Wadi Al-Dawasir, and spread in various parts of the Middle East.
The tribe also either gave birth or helped the growth of cities like: Al-Dammam, Al-Khobar, Al-Ahsa, Al-Zubara, Zallaq and Budayie (island of Bahrain) and Kuwait.
They were also inhabitants of the juzur Hawar; this helped Bahrain to win on 16 March 2001 its dispute over the archipelago with Qatar at the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
