[edit] Welcome and a note

Welcome!

Hello, Davins111, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

PS: I noticed that you recently added text to the Appalachia, Virginia article that said "By: Davin EMAIL: davins111@yahoo.com". While the Wikipedia community is always glad to accept positive contributions to articles, it's probably not fair to make an addition such as the aforementioned to an article. Articles are created and refined by the entire Wikipedia community. --Takeel 15:13, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Appalachia, Virginia and Wise County, Virginia

Hi. I noticed you keep adding http://www.appalachiava.net/ to the external links sections of Appalachia, Virginia and Wise County, Virginia. It doesn't look like that website has much of its own content; it's all just links to other websites' content. Also, it's probably not directly relevant to the Wise County, Virginia article; if it had more of its own content, it might be a better fit to just have it linked in Appalachia, Virginia.

Do you agree that it might be a better idea to link the Appalachia, Virginia article directly to the sites that http://www.appalachiava.net/ links to, such as http://www.appy100.com/ and http://www.wise.k12.va.us/aes/local_history.htm? --Takeel 01:49, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

After looking more at the website in question, it looks like it's possibly your own website. In the past, you have made edits to articles that reference the email address shown at the bottom of the index page at http://www.appalachiava.net/. If the website is indeed your own, I request that you please review the WP:SPAM and WP:VANITY guidelines with regards to this and take appropriate action. Thanks. --Takeel 13:13, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
