[edit] Thanks

Thanks for the wikification help on Fodor and welcome to the English wiki!!--Lacatosias 17:57, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fodor

You are more than welcome, Davidlud!! Thank you for the kind words. Unfortunately, I can't read German, so I am not able to translate from the German site. I might, howwver, be able to dig up some sources on the anti-reductionism of Fodor and add a paragrpah or two on it. What I am a little concerned about is that the article may be getting too long for a standard Wikepedia entry. This is why I actually felt it neccessary to leave out some material.--Lacatosias 13:26, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The figure

Oh, I see.. I wasn't paying attention. Yes, that is a very nice figure. I will see if I can work it in becasue the artcile could probably use some figures. Thank you.--Lacatosias 13:30, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Good article

Since you have expressed the opinion that "Fodor" is a good article and have received no complaints or anything, I have self-nominated it to the list of Good articles. I don't know what will happen (0. --Lacatosias 16:09, 22 January 2006 (UTC) but what the heck!!

[edit] BTW...

I think I agree with you that there seems to be a gap in the area of phil. of mind. There are some missing links (sorry for the pun) to multiple realizability, token physicalism and even type physicalism. I don't know why that is as I'm relatively new around here. But I would be happy to help out in that regard anyway.--Lacatosias 17:05, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

I would be happy if you write some of these arcles :-) Although I wrote the German articles about multiple realizability (de:Multiple Realisierung), token materalism (de:Anomaler Monismus) and type materialism (de:Identitätstheorie (Philosophie des Geistes)), I don't think that I'm able to write good articles here. My English is too bad :-(. But I would like to read and discuss your articles. --Davidlud 18:50, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
Ah hah!! You find yourself apparently in a situation very similar to my own with respect to the Italian wikipedia. I can read Italian perfectly but I have absolutely no confidence in my writing ability and so I have hardly contributed anything. It's unfortunate actually because the Italian site has very very few contributors to the philosophy section, In fact, there is hardly any philosophy section at all!! I'm also impressed with the fact that the German wikipedia has so many articles dealing with analytic philosophy. The stereotype would have it that Germans and other continentals are only interested in post-modernism, post-Heidegerrianism, and so forth. But this is obviously not true. There are also many excellent Italian analytic philsophers who are not very well known in the US. I should know as I have been living over here (Italy) for about five years now. Anyhow, I would advise you just not to worry so much about your English. On Wikepedia, it all gets settled out through the intervention of 700,000 or some such number of people. To start with, you can ask me for any help with English or any question/observations about anything else. This is what collaboration should be about. But please repond on my talk-page as it is preety blank (and bleak) right now with almost nothing on it.--Lacatosias 17:05, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikiproject:POM

If you like, you may now join in the sub-project: [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Philosophy_of_Mind Philosophy of Mind] which I just set up. And, if you are good at HTML, you can even improve the portal!!--Lacatosias 12:06, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Portal:Mind and Brain

I'm already working on it. Portal:Mind and Brain... --Lacatosias 12:56, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Anomaler Monismus

Is there any chance you have (or could make) an English version of the image you used on Anomaler Monismus? --- Kripkenstein 14:24, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jerry Fodor

My article Jerry Fodor is a candidate for Featured Article. Can you support this nomination or help edit if it is not good enough. Thank you.--Francesco Franco aka Lacatosias 17:36, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

Fancesco, I haven't been at the English Wikipedia for a long time - I'm sorry that I was not able to support your excellent article. It's a pity that the the nomination failed. --Davidlud 19:44, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
