hello david, thanks for your encouragement re the bits about tm. i particularly wanted to point some things out to people, to give them a little bit of insight into TM, in a reasonably neutral (i.e. lots of 'it is believed') manner. wikipedia is accused of being the amalgamation of collective ignorance, and nowhere is that more apparent than on the TM pages: you only have to look at e.g. the pages on hinduism or other religions and the respect given to those pages is very apparent - now contrast that with the TM pages, despite the fact that TM is purely a technique that gently entices (not forces, and not demands) its practitioners to consider following the same sorts of practices that religious people follow - not because the 'good book says so', but because TM sort-of 'osmosises' a feeling into people's very core that they would feel much better if they found out about vegetarianism, about treating themselves and other people with respect and love, etc. etc.

p.s. anyone can _try_ to flame-war me - it's very unlikely to have any effect, except to reflect on them! Lkcl 03:32, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
