[edit] Llama brew and Loungevania

Just want to give you a heads up that I have nominated Llama brew and Loungevania for Wikipedia:Articles for deletion as they might not be appropriate for Wikipedia. If you have any opinions, please raise it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Llama brew and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Loungevania, respectively. Regards, --Hurricane111 21:55, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

I have received your messages regarding the articles. Thank you for providing references to Loungevania. As for Llama brew and Loungevania, unfortunately I don't think I have changed my mind. One of the biggest reason is that I can't see how the two articles can meet Wikipedia:No original research. The links/references provided is from a web-forum/personal website. Thus, citing resources from there is still considered as publishing "primary sources". In addition, micronation "typically issue instruments such as passports, stamps, and currency". Anyhow, thank you for contributing in Wikipedia and Best of Luck! --Hurricane111 20:09, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:YorktownHigh.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:YorktownHigh.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Yorktown High School

Please elaborate on your talk page to make space for other users to comment on your work, as I will do bellow User:TauntingElf

I believe it is disrespectful of you to delete the entire section on the theatre department. Not only were your comments on the edit out-of-line, but a cascading delete of the section was also a poor choice. In the future if you believe the page is becoming too cluttered with information, create a child page and link to it from the parent site. Also, please do not leave opinionated or otherwise disrespectful comments on your edits, please simply say "Removed Theatre section" as opposed to "screw the horrible theatre." User:TauntingElf

[edit] Re: Yorktown High School

Your edits were very valid, if you take a look at the current YHS Theatre page it is more of an encyclopedic article. Regretably, I was never informed of the theatre's section on wikipedia so any propper censorship was never carried out. Although written in a manor that is more to the liking of a newspaper article, the information in it, is in fact true. Refer to the blueprints of the school and you can find what your looking for. But anyway, your edits were meritted, but please refer to the new page for a better theatre article. TauntingElf 23:48, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

somehow I had two talk pages. all put to here. David 13:17, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Flood3.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Flood3.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] Response

Most of my time on Wikipedia is doing new pages patrol. Given the volume of new pages that get created on Wikipedia every day, no other editor is likely to review the page in the foreseeable future, so I fix anything I see wrong, whether it is just a minor mistake in the capitalization of a heading[1], full wikification[2], marking as a copyright violation[3], doing some minor edits[4] that lead to more significant edits in existing related articles[5], or whatever. Sometimes if I go back thru newpage contributors' edits I find previously undetected hoax edits[6]. I did used to sometimes create new articles (tiny stubs, really)[7], back when I actually was able to create new articles. 24.17.48.241 03:22, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Adding hateful POV content to biography articles

This is your last warning.
The next time you vandalize a page, as you did to Oprah Winfrey, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a forum for you to advertise fringe web pages. Liketoread 17:25, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] You recent request for Checkuser

You recently compiled and listed a case at requests for checkuser. A checkuser or clerk has requested you supply one or more diffs to justify the use of the checkuser procedure in the case, in accordance with the procedures listed in the table at the top of the requests for checkuser page. For an outcome to be achieved, we require that you provide these diffs as soon as possible. This has been implemented to reduce difficulties for checkusers, and is essential for your case to be processed. A link to your recently-created case which has this information missing is here. Thanks for your co-operation. Daniel.Bryant T · C ] 23:20, 30 November 2006 (UTC), checkuser clerk.

[edit] Image:Sjf-selfportrait.jpg listed for deletion

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:Sjf-selfportrait.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it, but use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. Will (Talk - contribs) 21:54, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] thanks

thanks for restoring my old userpage. is there any chance of getting my talk page back??? DARReNTALK 16:36, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Sure, I'll do it tonight. David Fuchs 16:38, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
that would be great. thanks!!! also missing is my userbox subpage but dont worry if u cant get it back

Also are u familar with copyright? is it possible to copyright information on my userpage so others can not print it off??? just wondering.DARReNTALK 17:34, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

To answer the question: no, you can't - see Wikipedia:Text of the GFDL. And even if you could, it would be I that held the copyright anyways, as I designed it. It is good etiquette to acknowledge if you've "stolen" someone's code, but not mandatory. Daniel.Bryant [ T · C ] 12:00, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I just wanted to edit the Yorktown page

WHAT??? Raymond Lee has...friends??? No, wait...David Fuchs has friends???

I was ever-so innocently editing the YHS page (under my NEW username! Ah, my life is so exciting) when I decided to click on one of the page's low-quality photographs. Upon doing so, I discovered that the esteemed Raymond Lee has posted it. And that's when I saw your name in hyper-text, as Raymond introduced you as his...friend.

And I laughed.

Really hard.

You're only fooling yourself when you describe yourself as a "semi-nerd", Dave. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by ChristineStoddard (talkcontribs) 04:44, 10 December 2006 (UTC).
