David Eric Blackington (born September 25, 1972 in Hartford, Connecticut) is the creator of Yearbook Earth [1], a nonprofit website that opened its doors on September 25, 2006 in response to Wikipedia's disinterest in so-called "unnoteworthy" people. David created a Wikipedia article on himself in the summer of 2006, and it was deleted because "they" said he was not noteworthy. When he discovered Wikipedia was following what he called the traditional value-judging route, he decided to create Yearbook Earth which is essentially a people page gateway for anyone who would like to share their legacy.

You must submit a photo with your profile, and profiles are organized by location, birthday, keyword, and first name. It also has an option to use your profile for online dating or connecting with friends from your past. Ironically enough, although anyone can post a profile, the majority of the profiles are of people with a celebrity "noteworthy" status. This is probably at least partially due to it's low traffic status and lack of national exposure.

David graduated from Auburn University in 1994 with a B.A. in psychology and minor in philosophy. After interviewing him, he provided the following additional information about himself. In 1990, he was a youth finalist at the Nutmeg State Games in Badminton. In 1992, he was among the first group of teenagers to complete Landmark Education's IFLP training program. In 1993, he was recognized by Quinnipiac College as having the highest QPA for a junior in the school of liberal arts before he transferred to Auburn. In 1996, he studied astrology in some depth and spent a significant time trying to figure out ways to evaluate it's validity. In 2003, he became an intermediate python programmer with just enough knowledge of HTML & CSS to design his site. He's also an experienced bicycle commuter and enjoys playing racquet sports in his spare time.

Partially due to his transience, David worked for over 30 different companies between 1986 - 2006. They include: Hartford Courant, Willington Pizza, Quinnipiac College, Service America, WQAQ, Record Town, Champs Sporting Goods, County Seat, Cumberland Farms, Burger King, Sears, Auburn University, AT&T-GIS, McDonald's, Arby's, Subway, Subzone, Spectrum Convienence, Carondelet Home Health, Arizona's Children Association, U-Haul, UPS, FedEx, Valley Indoor Swap Meet, Brainfuse, YMCA, NCS Pearson, Wilmar Tools, Nintendo, BAX Global, Mieko's Fitness, and Bicycle Center. Dave has never received a poor evaluation at any of his employers, but he has been laid off a few times. A quote from his supervisor at the YMCA said "Dave is an extremely dependable employee." His supervisor at NCS Pearson writes, "Excellent addition to the team. Dave has consistently posted excellent scores. He helped us be among the best." He worked as a peer tutor at QC, online math/reading tutor for Brainfuse, 10th grade essay scorer at NCS Pearson, bicycle mechanic at bicycle center, and he was trained to do software conversions for AT&T-GIS.

In search for his favorite climate, David moved around a lot from 1995 - 2005. He has lived in 7 different states including the 4 corners/climates of the nation. Connecticut (1995) Alabama (95-97) Miami (Sep-Oct 97) Austin (Nov 97) Tucson (98-00) Los Angeles (01-03) San Diego (03, 05) Tacoma (Feb-Mar 04) Seattle (Apr-Dec 04, 06-). He also spend 3 months overseas in Cilacap, Indonesia which he said was the longest online date of his life. He currently resides in Seattle which he feels is the most comfortable climate in the nation. He has no plans to move.
