Hi, can a fan give some examples to shore up the 2nd and 3rd paragraph? Otherwise it strikes me as 1) potentially speculation and 2) not something that illuminates me much. I'd much rather have an assertion like those followed by specific examples, or--perhaps better--specific examples with little to no assertion. Koyaanis Qatsi 05:35 17 Jun 2003 (UTC)
I'd like to forward the suggestion that Mr Cronenberg might like to consider a film take on 'How the Dead Live', by Will Self - I'm just curious to see what he'd find. danla17092005
[edit] Jewish?
I don't know what wikipedia policy on this is, but should Cronenberg really be listed under the two jewish categories that he is? The reason I ask is because I have heard him say, in print and on tv interviews, that he is an atheist. How can an atheist be jewish? Unless jewishness is meant to be some type of race as opposed to a religion.
And by the way, from what I know, Cronenberg's parents were also secular, so it's not like he was raised jewish and abandoned the faith. 207.6.31.119 07:00, 16 November 2005 (UTC)
- yes, it is meant in the sense that jewish is an ethnicity, although personally I think people who don't identify as Jewish (or any other of the xxx-American categories) should be moved to new categories Americans of xxx descent. Note that the only criteria for these xxx-American categories is one grandparent of that ethnicity which leads to Robert De Niro being described as a German American. The order of the movies is wrong: Videodrome was made before The Dead Zone. Can someone fix this? Sdicht

On "secret weapons" ... obviously.
[edit] Absurd filmography
Nightbreed (1990, as an actor)
Last Night (1998, as an actor)
Jason X (2001, as an actor)
It is very confusing to see these films listed in a DIRECTOR's filmography, and I am afraid people might not immediately make a difference between "as an actor" and "also as an actor", and write down a filmography totally wrong for research or else.
I strongly believe that there should be two different lists - even for directors, one that is only the films directed by the person, and another that is only the films he/she acted in. Otherwise it might lead some people to believe that, for example, Martin Scorsese directed a Shark's Tale when he was just voicing over in the film...
