[edit] Was a stub

This is totaly a stub. I will get back to it soon. --KSnortum 08:18, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

I got back to it. Some one took the stub cat off, so I guess it's officially "not a stub".

[edit] Dave Kelly

He is a neat guy. I wish people would stop trying to say he is a furry. The people who say this are jerks. Dave Kelly is one of my biggest heroes.

I like him too; that's why I started the article. I didn't know being a "furry" was a bad thing. I know he hated the term. I wish he'd put back the Living in Graytown archives. --KSnortum 20:14, 11 March 2006 (UTC) (edit) The archives are back up, but only for subscribers to Keenspot. --KSnortum 03:16, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
Likewise. That comic rocked, especially towards the end. GreenReaper 06:43, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Big Ones

Why isnt the big ones comic mentioned here (yet?) Thats some dave kelly history hah :)

Why not add it? Be bold! --KSnortum 01:48, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bogus Links and Entries

The following link appear to be bogus and have been removed.

The following statements have been removed:

He enjoys Richard Scarry's pictures of traffic jams.
The March 06 2006 Flash Tub on Something Awful seems to indicate that Dave Kelly hates Wikipedia, specifically the Dave Kelly entry.
Those are probably legit, but not notable at any rate. Twinxor t 23:25, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
They're back in, but at this point, I'm not sure that many people care about this article. Maybe Dave is right and we take ourselves too seriously. --KSnortum 20:24, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Webcomic Stew

My understanding is that external links should be put into the body of the article as much as possible. The External Link "Webcomic Stew" seems to be an example of a web comic parody (PVP). I think it should be put into the body text, or at least the title changed to "PVP Parody" --KSnortum 21:22, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Citation needed

I have to admit I feel very odd about this article. It was started because someone requested it. I did the best I could. It's gotten a lot more controvertial than I ever thought it would be. It seems ti be unsupported by Kelly himself and most of his current fans. Half the people are making silly, purposefully stupid edits (in an effort to discredit it, I believe); the other half are critisizing the article's content. I'm getting to the point where I don't care any more; whatever "you guys" think is fine -- whoever "you guys" are.

I wrote the line comparing Kelly to that of Basil Wolverton, John Kricfalusi and Robert Crumb which know bears a "citation" tag. There is no citation. I wrote it. It's my opinion. I "cited" a piece of Kelly's work for the Wolverton influence, which I think is obvious. The Kricfalusi and Crumb comparisons come from private conversations with Kelly about his influences back when he was talking to me. If you don't like the line, be bold and remove it. I don't care any more.

At least I sign my name and have a user page. If you have an opionion about what I've just said, go post to it.

Jeez, now the Lucky Strike parody says it needs citation. It originally did, but got edited out!

Kelly stated on the Something Awful forums that "there is no real Shmorky, I just like the idea. It did fool some people and that was kind of cool." He and Josh "Colorfinger" Jones (who is responsible for many of the voices and background music at Something Awful's Flash Tub) created the fake Lucky Strike commercial found on the Shmorky homepage.

The Something Awful forums are not public. If you want to pay to get on them and verify this, fine. Otherwise, leave it or remove it; I don't care. No one's being consistent with the {{fact}} tab anyway.

Just noticed this on the front page about the band Rush:

Since the release of their self-titled debut album in 1974 the band has become known for their instrumental virtuosity, complex compositions and erudite lyrics.

Where's the citation on that? --KSnortum 23:31, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Please vote or make your opinion known below about removing the sections with the [citation needed] tag. Remove the tag or the sections once a concensus is found. There will never be citations for them. --KSnortum 23:28, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

So Shmorky is verifiable and is an animator who hasn't produced any works that are notable? --Quirex 19:32, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
