From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Daviot is a parish in Aberdeenshire. Famous residents include William Robinson Clark.

Contains one of the best examples of neolithic stone circles in the north east of Scotland, which comprises 10 stones plus one recumbent stone. Other interesting features are Daviot House, a disused mental home recently bought and refurbished privately, a Schlumberger explosives dump (on a nearby hill), and the first GM crop field in Scotland.
