Davina Whitehouse

Davina Whitehouse (16 December 1912 - 25 December 2002) was an actress successful in both Britain and Australasia.
She was a star of the London stage in the 1930's and made her first film appearance in a supporting role in Night Nurse (1931).
In 1952 Whitehouse emigrated to New Zealand finding work in radio, theatre and television. She appeared in New Zealand's first soap opera, Close to Home in the 1970's, and as "Maggie May Kennedy" in the Australian TV drama Prisoner. Film roles included Sleeping Dogs (1977) and Peter Jackson's Braindead (1992).
Davina Whitehouse died in Auckland, New Zealand shortly after her eightieth birthday following a series of strokes.Whitehouse, Davina
