David Vanterpool

David Vanterpool (born March 31, 1973 in Daytona Beach, Florida) is a professional basketball player who has played for various teams around the globe. He currently plays in Russia for Euroleague power CSKA Moscow.

Vanterpool played high school basketball at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, Maryland and then later at St. Bonaventure University between 1991–1995. In 1995, Vanterpool was selected by the CBA draft by the Quad City Thunder and moved to Italy during the 1996-1997 season. From 1997–1998 he played for the Jilin Tigers in China, and the Yakima Sun Kings during 1999–2001. He also played 22 games for the Washington Wizards of the NBA in 2000-01 and the Kansas City Knights in 2001-02. More recently, he played for the Euroleague team Montepaschi Siena from 2003 through 2005 before moving to CSKA.
