David Slack

David Slack is an author and speechwriter from Devonport, New Zealand. He has written speeches for a number of New Zealand politicians since 1989 and maintains the website speeches.com, which enables users to generate speeches automatically. In 2004 after a quiz he had written on the Treaty of Waitangi became popular on the Internet he was asked by Penguin Books to write a book, the result was Bullshit, Backlash and Bleeding Hearts "A Confused Person's Guide to the Great Race Row." He has since written another book; Civil War ...and other optimistic predictions, which explores various doomsday scenarios put forward by vested interests in New Zealand politics. He maintains a blog titled "Island Life" on Publicaddress.net[1]
