David Price Racing
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
David Price Racing is a British motor racing organisation, owned and run by David Price.
The team competes in the GP2 Series, and has in the past, under several different names. It also formeley competed in A1 Grand Prix.
In GP2, the team first came under the organisation name, "David Price Racing", for the first season of GP2, before switching to a name reflecting their sponsors, Direxiv for the second, being officially known as "DPR Direxiv", though this was often either shortened to "DPR", or reverted to "David Price Racing". For the third, it has formed a partnership with fellow British racing team, Carlin Motorsport, to form the name "Carlin DPR". It has been announced that Carlin owner Trevor Carlin will front the team in David Price's place.
The team only raced in the first A1GP season, working on the engineering side of the newly-formed A1 Team USA, but after very little success, David Price Racing was replaced by fellow-British outfit West Surrey Racing as the engineering team on the American car. No other team required their services, and so David Price Racing did not compete in the the second season of A1GP.
