David Mirfin (born April 18, 1985 in Sheffield) is a professional footballer, currently playing for Huddersfield Town. At 6'3" and 13st, he plays mainly in central defence, but can play anywhere across the back four. If needed, he has been called upon to play as an emergency striker. He is one of many players for Huddersfield who have progressed through the youth ranks into the first team. He has started 83 games for Huddersfield since making his debut at the age of 18 in 2003 against Oldham Athletic. His main attributes are his pace and strength, which give him the nickname 'The Ox'.[1]
