David Metcalfe is a fictional character on ITV's Emmerdale. He is played by Matthew Wolfenden.

David arrived in the Dales and immediately turns the ladies' heads, but his main intention was to confront his father, Eric Pollard, who didn’t even know of his existence.
Before he revealed his identity, he started work at the factory in an attempt to find out more about his estranged father.He also made friends With Del Dingle and it might be more then just Friendship.
