David Edward Martin (born January 22, 1986 in Romford) is a young goalkeeper with Liverpool. He signed for the Reds from Milton Keynes Dons on January 13, 2006, after a successful trial period. He had played 25 games for the Dons, making his debut in 2004. Before that he played for Wimbledon and was a youth-team player with Tottenham Hotspur where he originally played as defender.
He was an unused substitute in Liverpool's League Cup game against Reading on October 25, 2006 and has been capped by England as an Under-20 international.
