David Litterbin, a lanky cat with a large gap in his front teeth, is the host of The David Litterbin Show and Megakat City's undisputed "King of Late Night" in the animated television series SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron. He appears in the episode Enter the Madkat, where he is voiced by John Byner, and he is also mentioned in A Bright and Shiny Future although he does not appear in that episode. He is an obvious parody of real-life talk show host David Letterman. Despite Litterbin's overwhelming popularity, there are at least three residents of Megakat City who do not think too highly of him. Chance Furlong, who prefers the more unpredictable Scaredy-Kat cartoons, considers Litterbin's humor dull and boring, while Commander Ulysses Feral frowns on the way Litterbin makes lighthearted jokes at the SWAT Kats' expense, since he doesn't consider the vigilante duo something to joke about.

Litterbin's third and most vicious detractor is his arch-rival, Lenny Ringtail. Ringtail, confined to an insane asylum, blames Litterbin (among others) for his imprisonment, thinking himself the funnier of the two. Upon escaping, Ringtail allows himself to be possessed by the ghost of Madkat, and Madkat, in return, helps Ringtail get revenge on those who wronged him, starting with Litterbin. Madkat appears in the middle of a live taping of Litterbin's show and wreaks havoc, scaring away the studio audience and knocking out the security guards with a paddle ball. Litterbin himself is captured and taken to the roof of the studio, where Madkat holds him over the side, to see how scared of heights he is.

"Complying" with an order from Commander Feral to "put him down", Madkat drops Litterbin and the talk show host plummets multiple stories. He is grabbed out of the air by the SWAT Kats using the Sky Claw, but Madkat uses a razor-edged playing card to cut the cable, and Litterbin falls again. This time, though, he lands in Madkat's magical cat-in-the-box prison. He is eventually freed when the SWAT Kats defeat Madkat, just in time to start taping a new episode of his show. With no guests to bring on, Litterbin, in a controversial move, invites the once-again normal Lenny Ringtail to appear in the show with him.
