David Kristian

David Kristian (born November 5th, 1967) is a critically acclaimed and world-renowned Electronic musician and film composer with dozens of CD and vinyl releases on labels as diverse as Crème Organization, Ninja Tune, Lo Recordings, Schematic Records, and Alien8 Recordings. David Kristian produces under a few different of aliases including Gentle Bakemono (his Electro project), Francesco Clemente (Italo-horror pastiche) and Malamutant (Lap steel guitar loop improv reminiscent of Frippertronics).
David Kristian has performed at several important events including Mutek, Le Festival International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville, SONAR, FCMM, The Fantasia Festival, SHARE, and ISEA.
David Kristian's soundtrack work was featured on a variety of projects including several animated shorts with Ryosuke Aoike, and feature films such as Karim Hussain's Subconscious Cruelty, Ascension (starring Marie-Josée Croze) and La Belle Bête (written by Marie-Claire Blais, starring Caroline Dhavernas and Marc-André Grondin (C.R.A.Z.Y.)), Douglas Buck's Prologue, and Nacho Cerda's horror feature The Abandoned (starring Karel Roden) which is soon to be released by Filmax's Fantastic Factory.
