David Kennedy (guitarist)

David Kennedy (born July 8, 1976) is an American guitarist, songwriter and performer. He is the current guitar player for the alternative rock band Angels and Airwaves. He was also a member of Box Car Racer, a musical collaboration launched by Tom DeLonge, along with former blink-182 member Travis Barker. Box Car Racer, then a side-project to blink-182, put out its only album in 2002, which is self-titled. Kennedy is also a member of hardcore punk group Hazen Street, who became known after touring with P.O.D. in the summer of 2004. David and bandmate Tom DeLonge are close friends and grew up together in Poway, California. On May 23, 2006, Angels and Airwaves released their debut album We Don't Need to Whisper.
