David Jessel is a news presenter on BBC World, the BBC's international news and current affairs channel.

He was educated at The Dragon School, an independent school in Oxford and Eton College, an independent school near Windsor, Berkshire.

He joined the BBC in 1967 on a trainee placement at BBC Birmingham. From there he has since presented BBC Radio 4's The World at One, Rough Justice on BBC One, Dispatches for Channel 4 as well as more recently HARDtalk on BBC World and BBC News 24.
