David J. Simms

David J. Simms is currently an Emeritus Professor of Mathematics at Trinity College, Dublin. Research interests include differential geometry and geometric quantisation.

Rumoured to have invented the Guinness Widget.

Until his retirement in 2004, he invited his students around to his house every year, where his children waited on them, and Frau Simms cooked good food.
