David Goodman (game show contestant)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

David Goodman is a consultant from Maryland who won a million dollars on the television show, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. On how the victory changed his life Goodman says: "Sure, I've bought a car and a house, but otherwise I have the same interests, the same friends, and the same weekly routines." Later in the season, a contestant used Goodman for the lifeline, Phone-A-Friend. Goodman gave the incorrect answer and caused the contestant to go home with $1,000. While in graduate school at the University of Michigan, Goodman participated in the Quiz Bowl team, where he met future millionaire winner Kevin Olmstead. Goodman's phone-a-friend, which he used on the million dollar question, was Haggai Elitzur, also a member of the Michigan Quiz Bowl team.[1]
