David John Capel (born 6 February 1963, Northampton) is a former cricketer, who played for Northamptonshire and England as an all-rounder. He played 15 Tests and 23 one-day internationals for England, ending with a batting average below 20 and a bowling average above 45 in both forms of the game. He played senior cricket at the highest level for 22 years, between 1981 and 2003. He now plays for the Northants Colts when it looks like they might lose with his best friend David Ripley.
