David Bowes-Lyon

Sir David Bowes-Lyon KCVO (2 May 190213 September 1961) was a son of the 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne and a brother of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.

On 6 February 1929, he married Rachel Pauline Clay and they had two children:

During the Second World War he was a member of the secret propaganda department Political Warfare Executive.
