David Belle

David Belle (born 29 April 1973 in Fécamp, France) is the founder of parkour and its most famous practitioner. Belle began Parkour when he was 15, inspired by his father Raymond Belle and the "methode naturelle" (created by George Hébert). Belle is also the founder of PAWA (Parkour Worldwide Association) which he has now left.
In 2004 Belle starred in the film Banlieue 13, which featured a number of Parkour sequences. The film was released by Magnolia Pictures in the United States as District B13 on June 2, 2006. The DVD of the film was released September 5, 2006.
