David Barnes (artist)

David Barnes (born November 1, 1977) is an artist. He is best known for his contributions to the album covers for the indie pop band Of Montreal. On September 9th, 2006, David married Claudia Coppola. He enjoys and draws inspiration from camp fires. He has also gone under the names lecithin emulcifier and hat hare.

Barnes has been contributing album covers for his brother's band, Of Montreal, since their second album. The covers typically have unique color schemes and illustrations achieved by using thick watercolors and markers, as well as the occasional ink.

Barnes also offers portraits from his website which are done in a similar style to the album covers.

Barnes worked with his brother, Kevin, and his sister-in-law, Nina, on a touring comedy production called "A Pollinaire Rave."
