David Bargh

David Bargh (born Rochdale, Greater Manchester, England in 1980) is a business entrepeneur from Heywood, Greater Manchester, in April 2005 along with friend and business associate Antony Clough they were searching for internet investment ideas they came up with the idea of investing in a U.S based internet site called youtube.com. After contacting Chad Hurley a founder of youtube.com it is reported that together David Bargh and Antony Clough aquired 3% of the company for a reported 6000GBP. Just 7 months later Sequoia Capital invested 3.5m USD followed by former Paypal CFO Roelof Botha investing 8m USD. In October 2006 youtube.com was sold to Google for an estimated 1.65Billion USD and it is reported the initial investment of 6000GPB by Bargh and Clough is now worth 40m USD in Google stock. When asked by a local newspaper to comment on his new found wealth David Bargh declined asking to respect his privacy. Bargh and Clough both still live a modest life choosing to stay in Heywood rather than live the millionaire lifestye.
