David Ball (football)

David Ball (born June 6, 1984 in Berlin, Vermont) is a college football wide receiver for the Division I-AA University of New Hampshire Wildcats.

Ball broke the Division I-AA record for touchdown receptions, previously set by Jerry Rice at Mississippi Valley State University, on October 7, 2006 versus the University of Richmond. He is also approaching two other I-AA receiving records set by Rice:

  • Most career receiving yards: 4,693 (Ball is currently at 4,359)
  • Most games with at least 100 receiving yards: 23 (Ball is currently at 22)
  • Projected to be a 2nd Round NFL Draft Choice in 2007
