David Archer (born February 15, 1962 in Fayetteville, North Carolina), was a former American professional football player. A 6'2" undrafted quarterback from Iowa State University, Archer played 6 seasons in the NFL from 1984-1989 for the Atlanta Falcons, Washington Redskins, and San Diego Chargers. After his playing days ended in the NFL, Archer had a prosperous career in the World League and CFL. In 1992, he helped lead the Sacramento Surge of the WLAF win the championship in World Bowl II.
