[edit] Technique

Dave Knudson relies on heavy usage of guitar effects and syncopation. While in Botch a technique was used whereby he would layer multiple guitar lines at the same time with use of a sampling pedal. In both Botch and on earlier Minus the Bear releases he used a two handed tapping technique that is very hard to replicate by other musicians, on Menos el Oso, the finger tapping is less apparent and the use of sampling and effects pedals has grown.

[edit] Graphic Design

On top of playing and touring with Minus the Bear, Dave Knudson has also designed the artwork for the bands releases and the majority of apparel as well as artwork for bands such as Pretty Girls Make Graves
