Dave Bruderly, an environmental engineering consultant for 32 years, is running against incumbent, Cliff Stearns (R), for Florida's 6th congressional district seat see Florida U.S. House election, 2006.

Bruderly is a Democrat running in a six-county District that includes Alachua, Bradford, Clay, Duval, Lake, Levy, Marion and Gilchrist Counties. He is running against incumbent Cliff Stearns.

Bruderly has run for U.S. House District 6 in 2002, 2004 and 2006, losing to the incumbent each time.
