Dauvessei (elm hybrid)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

U. x hollandica Dauvessei is a very rare cultivar of unknown provenance. The branches ascend to form a broad, pyramidal crown; the leaves bear a vague resemblance to Wych Elm, but are generally smaller, rarely exceeding 10 cm long by 5 cm wide, and thinner in texture. It was once grown at Kew Gardens where it attained a height of 13 m, but is now represented by a single specimen in the NCCPG elm collection [1] held by Brighton & Hove City Council. It is not known to be in cultivation in North America or Australasia.
