Date Harumune

Date Harumune (1519-1577) Date Harumune, the eldest son of Date Tanemune. Harumune eventually was the heir of Tanemune. Harumune followed a feud with his father that lasted for over half a decade and is remembered as the "Tenbun no ran". Afterwards, Harumune moved his main headquarters to the Yonezawa Castle, which then became the new capital of the Date clan. As Harumune was a Daimyo, he spent most of his time reestablishing the influence of the Date. It all just ended with more conflict with his father. Harumune disagreed with his son, Terumune amongst many matters. To make sure that another "Tenbun no ran" would occur, Harumune retired. Harumune ended up dying during the 12th of January 1578.
