DataFactory

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

DataFactory is a testing tool for database applications. It allows developers and QA personnel to generate data and automatically populate test databases with rows of meaningful, syntactically correct test data. The data is drawn from an extensive database that includes tens of thousands of names, zip codes, area codes, cities, states and more. The data can also be drawn from the developer’s own database or text file. DataFactory’s data aging capability allows developers to create a set of test data using current dates, run a series of tests on that data, then age the dates and retest. DataFactory directly supports Oracle, IBM DB2, Sybase and any ODBC compliant database. It maintains referential integrity, and supports multiple foreign keys.

DataFactory is produced by Quest Software.
