  • DAS Games (at the time "D.A.S. Games") was created in mid 2004 as a site dedicated to "Gaming, Beta Testing, and Modding." During this stage of the site, it was hosted on freewebs, used a free ProBoards forum, and was located at dasgames.tk. The site was coded in basic HTML tables, and featured a blue and silver color scheme.

  • In late 2004/early 2005, the focus of the site changed to the next-generation gaming systems, which at that time were referred to as the Xbox Next, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Revolution, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, and Game Boy Evolution. The new version of the site featured a new layout, green and black color scheme, new forums provided for free by myfreebb.

  • In early 2005, DAS Games went through yet another structural upgrade. The new version of the site dropped the periods from the name (making it "DAS"), as well as coverage of the rumored "Game Boy Evolution." The new version featured a dual navigation bar layout, recent content buttons, independent PHPBB forums, and Cutenews content management system. A friend of Daylon's, and the owner of Nintendo-Next, provided hosting for the site on his server at the address n-next.com/das, as well as the domain name dual-screens.com (both are now defunct).
  • On April 13, 2005, DAS Games was mentioned on the G4 program Attack of the Show (Season 1, Episode 13). Hosts Kevin Rose and Sarah Lane were showing fan-made mock-ups of the PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo Revolution originating from DAS Games, and Sarah said "We found these pictures on dual-screens.com." The URL dual-screens.com was then shown across the bottom of the screen for a few seconds. In addition to this, the show's segment "User Created" was based entirely on these images for one week. Viewers of the show were told to create their own mock-ups of the next-gen gaming systems, and send them in to the show. They were also told that they could go to the Attack Of The Show website for links to pages for inspiration. Three links to DAS Games were then placed on the official Attack of the Show website for one week, each going to a different next-gen console's image page on DAS Games. The owner of DAS Games sent an email to G4 on April 16, 2006 requesting a video clip or screen shot of that moment on the show, but never got a response.
  • On July 4, 2005, a new site called The Code Benders was added to the DAS Games Network. The Code Benders was a site focusing on ethical hacking, social engineering, and modding.
  • In March 2006, the fourth version of the site was launched. The new version of the site switched to Wordpress as it's content management system, and the site was broken down into sub domains for each system. Over the view months that this version was running, news coverage began to slowly fall. This version of the site was largely considered to be a step backwards. Each of the subdomains used a separate installation of Wordpress, causing difficulty for reporters to report news.
  • On July 7, 2006, DAS Games 5.0 was launched. The new version of the site reverted back to the Cutenews content management system, a single navigation bar, and featured a clean and simplistic white and green layout. In this version, the appearance of the name in the logo changed from DAS Games to Das Games. This is the latest, and current, version of the site.
  • On August 7, 2006, 6 new CSS style sheets were added, in addition to the default theme. The 6 additional themes were made to resemble the 6 themes from the third version of the site. The list of the new theme choices are Lite, Dark, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation Portable.
