[edit] Interests
Evan has been a prolific writer since the age of six, when he wrote his first short story. Since then, he has written hundreds of poems, songs, stage plays, and full-length screenplays. He has also played guitar since the age of eight, playing exclusively acoustic guitar for nine years before beginning to play an electric guitar in 2004.
His favorite television shows include House, M.D., Rescue Me, M*A*S*H, all of the Star Trek series (except Enterprise), Firefly, NewsRadio, and Viva La Bam. He also appreciates the television shows he watched as a child, such as Fraggle Rock, Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers, Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears, Darkwing Duck, DuckTales, TaleSpin, and Boy Meets World.
Evan's favorite movies are The Crow, all of the Star Wars movies, M*A*S*H, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Boondock Saints, The Princess Bride, More, and Rent. His own films include Beautiful (not to be confused with the Minnie Driver film of the same name), Perfect (the failed sequal to Beautiful), Halfway Down the Sky (not to be confused with the album by Splender), and his current work in progress The Last Homely House.
Being a music lover, Evan claims to love all types of music (except rap, which he despises). His CD Collection contains over 1100 albums from every genre (including rap, from his younger years). His favorite artists/bands are Disturbed, Ozzy Osbourne, Korn, Flyleaf, The Dresden Dolls, AFI, Voltaire, Tool, Weird Al Yankovic, Zao, The Von Bondies, Killswitch Engage, Slipknot, and Splender. Evan has also been in a number of bands himself, being the guitarist in the groups Stillborn Smile and Fall of the Last Great Innocent (where he also was a back-up vocalist). He has also been a vocalist in a few bands including his current work-in-progress Her Name Was Wisdom.
Being an English major, reading is another subject in which Evan loves to occupy himself. His favorite books include The Lost Years of Merlin series by T.A. Barron, Never Have Your Dog Stuffed by Alan Alda, Without You by Anthony Rapp, Almost Home by Damien Echols, Have a Nice Day and Foley is Good by Mick Foley, and The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury.
[edit] Lifestyle
Evan prides his Irish heritiage, although he rarely drinks. He considers himself to be heterosexual, but is very pro-LGBT rights. He has played an active role in Amnesty International, including their annual program Get On The Bus. One of the his current large concerns for human rights is the trial of the West Memphis Three.
Evan also has several tattoos. He has one tattoo on each of his upper arms, one on the right side of his neck, and the beginning of a large piece on his left leg. In the past he had his right industrial, his left eyebrow, and both of his earlobes pierced. The piece on Evan's left leg is in tribute to all of his deceased friends. The first rose on his leg was dedicated to Josh Amaral, who died June 3, 2005 at the age of 15. More roses will be added as time goes on. More tattoos to come include a large Celtic tree and raven piece on his back, the O'Connor family crest on his left arm, a scene of moshing teddy bears on his right arm for his children (once he has children, having the bears in the scene match their personalities), a winged claddagh on his left hand, the nickname Dez on his left wrist, a Kurt Halsey piece on his right leg, and many more.
Evan has two jobs--one as a front end team member at Target, where he has worked for over a year, and another as a promoter for Roadrunner Records and Trustkill Records, where he works different shows promoting Roadrunner Records and Trustkill Records bands and upcoming albums, respectively.
In fitting with his membership to two hard rock/metal Road Crews, Evan aspires to start an official Ipecac Recordings Road Crew.
Evan is an avid concert goer, going to three years OzzFest, two years of WBCN RiverRave and countless others to speak of. He also has tickets and is planning to attend the upcoming Family Values Tour 2006.
Evan is currently single, and while he does not know where it is heading he hopes to one day get married and have a daughter. He does not date looking for someone to fullfil this dream, only looking for someone compatible and then likes to see where things take him.
The most important thing in Evan's life is his friends. He could not function without them. He loves and cares for all of them. There is little to nothing he wouldn't do for his friends. Sometimes Evan gets hurt due to this, but he says it will never change.
Evan's idea of the perfect band would feature Mike Patton on vocals, Zakk Wylde on guitar, Victor Wooten on bass, and Brian Viglione on drums.
[edit] Pages Edited
Evan has edited pages such as the MASH tv series page (adding the DVD release dates for season 11 and the complete series), the Gloucester, MA page (adding an adage used by Gloucester's youth and creating the famous residents section), the Rockport, MA page (adding to the famous residents section), and the Yankees Suck page (adding specific events in which "Yankees Suck" chants started at non-sports related events), He also has edited the Borg page on Memory Alpha under the same alias.
Evan intends on writing/editing pages on his films, himself as a writer/director/musician, and his schools and hometown. He intends to clean up some pages, such as MASH related articles, and those that catch his particular interest.
Evan chooses to stay away from editing political articles as he leans very much to the left.
