[edit] Was Bishop Vanya's motives for the atempted murder of Joram for the benifit of Thimhallan or to maintain his own political station?

I believe Bishop Vanya was trying to keep his own political station secure by trying to murder Joram in Triumph of the Darksword by stopping the Prophecy from being fulfilled.
