Daryl Hayden
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Daryl Hayden is the current mayor of the city of Fulton, New York. Hayden has held this post since his election win on the democratic ticket in November of 2003. Hayden's platform in the election was a pledge to reduce the water rates for the citizens of Fulton. Hayden won the election 1,851 to 1,081. Former mayor Stafford was on the losing end of this election.
- Numerous events have shaped Hayden's administration thus far. One of the major events was the closing of a Nestle plant which had been in operation in Fulton for one hundred years and was one of the main employers in the city. Hayden has focused on refilling the old Nestle plant, and has almost succeeded by bringing in New York Chocolate Company. NYCC was supposed to begin full operation of chocolate in the fall of 2005, but that now looks like it will be delayed.
- Hayden's four year term ends Jan 1st, 2008. It is currently unknown whether the mayor will run for re-election.
