Darwin Reconnaissance Orbiter

The Darwin Reconnaissance Orbiter (DRO) is a fictional spacecraft shown on the Discovery Channel special Alien Planet. It was deployed in orbit around the planet Darwin IV. Its purpose was to look for potential landing sites for the landing probes and to map the entire planet.
The name was probably inspired by the real life Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.
