The Dartmouth Independent is the only online-based publication at Dartmouth College. Unlike most other campus magazines that offer political commentary, The Dartmouth Independent lacks a defined political allegiance. Notable achievements include winning the award for best publication its inaugural year, having a host of writers (at least one, possibly as many as three) who can spell inaugural without the aid of spell check, and publishing the definitive history of beer pong[1]. Humor and irreverance are the magazine's stylistic trademarks. The Dartmouth Independent releases new issues online every week and in print once or twice a term.
