Darrin McGillis has been the president and the executive producer for World Wide Entertainment USA, Inc. since 1986. In the late 80's he was the youngest national concert tour promoter ever. With the skill and expertise of a staff of 100 industry insiders, Darrin McGillis promoted major concert tours in the most prestigious venues: The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles; Madison Square Garden in New York City; and the Miami Arena in Florida; with concert tours promoted in over 25 cities throughout the United States.

In the early 90's McGillis relocated his office, from the mid-west to New York City, and launched World Wide Records. McGillis immediately signed Angelo Garcia, the lead singer of Menudo. It was after Angelo’s hit release, “Don’t Keep Me Holding On”, that McGillis negotiated and sold the recording contract to Warner Bros, Records.

Having huge success in the record industry, McGillis signed and recorded the most popular teen group in the world, Menudo . The group had two hit songs, “Dancin, Movin Shakin” and “Cosmopolitan Girl”. Both songs skyrocketed in Latin America. It became clear to McGillis in the late 90's that Latin America was a huge market for music success. He concentrated his investments and energy promoting recording Artist from Puerto Rico.

In the late 90's McGillis also created the musical group EXPLOSION releasing his first all Spanish Music CD on McGillis Records entitled “Que No Se Detenga (Don’t Let It Stop)”. The CD was released throughout Latin America before the group disbanded. McGillis has since promoted the lead singer, JOEL, as a solo act. JOEL “Mantendre Este Amor (I’ll Hold On)” (produced and written by Mic Mac Records Producer Mickey Garcia) took off like lighting in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru & Panama.
