Darren Moore (born April 22, 1974 in Birmingham, England) is a professional footballer. He currently plays for Derby County. He is 6'03" and weighs 15 stone (210 lbs/95.25 kg). He has played at international level for Jamaica, for whom he qualifies through parentage.

Moore, a towering powerful defender, began his career as a trainee with Torquay United, making his debut while still a trainee on March 24, 1992 in a 2-1 defeat at home to his hometown side Birmingham City. He began the following season as first choice in the centre of defence, alongside Wes Saunders and went on to play over 100 league games for Torquay before leaving to join Doncaster Rovers for a fee of £62,500 in July 1995.

He moved to Bradford City for a fee of £310,000 in June 1997 and after refusing to sign a new contract, was out of favour at the start of the 1999-2000 season, Bradford's first in the FA Premier League. He played just once for Bradford, in the Worthington Cup against Reading beforePortsmouth snatched his services from a collection of other suitors, for a fee of £500,000, in November 1999.

He spent less then two years at Fratton Park before returning to the Midlands with West Bromwich Albion for a fee of £750,000. Moore proved to be a rock at the heart of the Baggies defence as they earned promotion to the Premiership for the 2002/03 season.

After struggling to hold down a first team place during the first half of the 2005-06 season, Moore was allowed to join Derby County for a fee that could eventually reach £500,000 depending on appearances.

The nickname Johnny Bravo originated at Derby it is a reference to how the centre-back runs with his chest out, proud like cartoon star Bravo. His nickname Bruno originated at Torquay, due to his apparent resemblance to the boxer Frank Bruno.
