Darren Kappler

Darren Kappler (born January 23, 1965 in South Australia) is a former Australian rules footballer. He played for the Fitzroy Lions, Sydney Swans and Hawthorn Hawks in the Australian Football League.

Kappler, recruited from South Adelaide Football Club in South Australia. He built a reputation as a talented and damaging long kicking left footed wingman.

Hamstring and calf injuries cut short his career and forced his delisting by 3 league clubs. By the time of his retirement, he had played 187 games.

After football, Kappler became a coach, with several seasons as senior playing coach for the Murrumbeena Football Club in the Southern Football League.

He currently works as a sales rep for Musashi health and fitness products.
